A cassic tale of a young man's hormonal awakening that is triggered by an attractive teacher in middle school.
Ms. Beehayven
What makes a young man’s thoughts
Turn to desire?
For me it was a hot school teacher
She started the fire
Everything was fine, everything was cool
Until I walked into that room
In my middle school
I fell in love with Ms. Beehayven
I’ve been bad
And my soul needs saving
I’m outa’ my mind
Her touch I’m cravin’
I think I’m in love ….with Ms. Beehayven
I had never seen a woman before
Lookin’ so fine
Her smile and her auburn hair
I had to make her mine
Everything was good, everything was cool
Until I walked into her room
In my middle school
Oh, yea,
I fell in love with Ms. Beehayven
I’ve been bad
And my soul needs saving
I’m outa my mind
A touch I’m cravin’
I think I’m in love ….with Ms. Beehayven

This song was inspired by the small town in Central Texas that Rick spent most of his childhood in. The area around this community is where Rick’s ancestors settled when immigrating to America from Germany.
The first verse talks about how the city was named in the 19th century, when William Smith and Murray Burleson tossed a coin to see who would get to name the new town. If it would have went the other way, the song would have been called “Crazy “Bout Burlesonville”. The city sits peacefully on the Colorado River, and you always cross “that river bridge” before entering the town. The city has survived in great part to the fact that the railroad has always maintained a large presence there.
The movie “Hope Floats”, with Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr., was filmed in Smithville. It really changed the way that folks viewed their own home. The city erected a sign on the highway entering town to brag about the movie. It was a VERY BIG DEAL!
As with most small communities, Smithville is riddled with rumors of change and there is a close-knit group of small-town-power-brokers that seem to control most of the big decisions that are made, with regard to city planning and government.
One thing that you will notice when visiting Smithville is that everyone is waving at everyone else. If you are not used to it, it’s sort of unnerving. Every day at 12:00 noon a loud siren goes off in the center of the town to designate that it’s lunchtime.
This is Rick’s tribute to his town.
Crazy ‘bout Smithville
Willie and Murray played the game
To see which one would get the name
Lady luck was on Willie’s side
That river bridge says your almost there
Hear that train in the cool night air
It’s a feeling words can’t describe
A few years back Hollywood came ‘round
So we put a sign out on the edge of town
So we would not forget that day
Everybody talks about the comin’ change
But it’s them good ol’ boys that pull them strings
And the Tigers won another game
Grab your boots, grab your hat
I’m gonna show where a little slice of Heaven’s at
I know a place where time stands still
This sleepy little town is simply the best
I’ll put it up against all the rest
I’m Crazy ‘bout Smithville
We always wave, or so it seems
We eat our lunch when the siren screams
We have our own pace, that’s for sure
Come on down, I’ll show you why
I’m gonna stay here ‘til the day I die
Like my family did before
Grab your boots, grab your hat
I’m gonna show where a little slice of Heaven’s at
I know a place where time stands still
This sleepy little town is simply the best
I’ll put it up against all the rest
I’m Crazy ‘bout Smithville
We’re crazy in Smithville

You Don’t Have To Love Me
You don’t have to love me
Not unless you really wanted to
You don’t have to love me baby
Not unless you really wanted to
Ain’t no clouds above me
Wrote you a long love letter
Put it in the mail the other day
Wrote you a long love letter baby
Put it in the mail the other day
Ain’t no clouds above me
You don’t have to love me
Not unless you really wanted to
You don’t have to love me baby
Not unless you really wanted to
Ain’t no clouds above me

That Wendish Smile
Forty-Thousand Indians
Are knocking on my door
It’s been this way
Since I was born in 1954
Your showing me that Wendish smile
That’s written on your face
I should have recognized
That you were caught up in the chase
Those same sad songs are playing
On my brother’s radio
The message that they’re sending is
We’re really not alone
I should have realized
That we would never make it right
We gave it all we could
The new day starts tonight

This song is inspired by the changes going on in the world today.
Where are going and what are the true priorities?
Harleys and Horses, Guns and Gold
Let’s get down, Let’s get dirty
Let’s go rollin’ down loop 230
You get Cody and his sister Sue
I’ll put some gas in Big Blue
I’m fallin’ off the grid
Where it’s not what you said
But the things that you did
I’m tired of being bought and sold
Give me Harley’s and Horses, Guns and Gold
Don’t need no PDA or fancy cell phone
Don’t need no hotsy-totsy ring tones
Don’t need the spin and the dissatisfaction
I don’t get the attraction
I’m fallin’ off the grid
Where it’s not what you said
But the things that you did
Sorry if I don’t fit your mold
Give me Harley’s and Horses, Guns and Gold
The CEO just bought a new car
Congress wants to start a new war
They use the newsman to fool the masses
I’m taking off my rose colored glasses
I’m fallin’ off the grid
Where it’s not what you said
But it’s the things that you did
You need to either bet or fold
Give me Harley’s and Horses, Guns and Gold
I want me a Fatboy with all the trimmin’s
Give me a horse that’s as fast as the wind
Give me a long gun …an AR an AK
And all the gold in the USA

The ulimate question?
Y.O.Y.
Everybody tells me that you turned it around
You got your head in the air, got your feet on the ground
Why, baby, why did you put me down?
Everything thing you lost will never be found
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna get it in between
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna learn what I mean
Shake it baby.
Tell me, tell me, tell me how’d you sleep last night?
There’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
Did you see my face when you closed your eyes
Place your bet baby, let it ride
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna get it in between
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna learn what I mean
You can’t deny that you’re not a witness
You can’t deny that you’re not a witness
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna get it in between
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna learn what I mean
Have you heard the word? Have you read the news?
It’s time to get ready and pay your dues.
You’re gonna get an offer that you can’t refuse.
who’s gonna win?……. who’s gonna lose?
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna get it in between
Y.O.Y.??
You’re gonna learn what I mean

A nice "set starter".
Rock Your World Tonight
Come on girl
I wanna rock your world tonight
Just a huggin’ and a kissin’
‘Til the morning light
Is my message getting through?
Can’t you see how much I love you?
Come on girl
I wanna rock your world tonight
Look out girl
Let’s make it real
Your lovin’ man
Will show you how it feels
Is my message getting through?
Can’t you see how much I love you?
Come on girl
Let’s rock your world tonight
We can’t say
What tomorrow’s gonna bring
It’s a Cinderella shoe
Let’s believe
That all our store bought dreams
Come true
Come on girl
I wanna rock your world tonight
Just a huggin’ and a kissin’
‘Til the morning light
Is my message getting through?
Can’t you see how much I love you?
Come on girl
Let’s rock your world
Look out girl
I’m gonna rock your world
Come on now
I’m gonna rock your world tonight
That’s right
Come on girl
I wanna rock your world tonight

Bayou Bomber
They said an old crawdad
Lives inside of his head
You better take life easy
Soon you’re gonna be dead
He’s the Bayou Bomber
Down in Louisiana
Where they love to rock on
He’s the Bayou Bomber
And he’ll play
Yes, he’ll play it for you all night long
When he was three years old
He bought his first guitar
And he’ll play it all day and night for you, baby
Soon he’s gonna go far
He’s the Bayou Bomber
Down in Louisiana
Where they love to rock on
He’s the Bayou Bomber
And he’ll play
Yes, he’ll play it for you all night long
